And - for those who do not wish to go about the usual trip to native places or grandparents home and those who do not wish to spend the summers in any extra-classes or doing interns either, rather, wish to pack your bags and set about to a place to - relax or have an adventure or explore the unknown in your own way, here are 5 places within India you can visit during summer breaks.

You can come here from any place in India by air or train. If you are in Siliguri, you can also avail Redbus to reach Guwahati ( the main city of Assam ) as tickets are available anytime and cheaper than air. You can enjoy the scenic beauty enroute - although the journey by bus would be time taking - you would travel for 11 to 13 hours.

Some interesting Places to visit here are -
a. Kamakhya Temple -  the most divine place here and one of sati-piths
b. Kaziranga national park - do carry your cameras for the wild life shots.
