Make in 'Modern India' or 'Confused over basic Human Rights' - which way is the BJP government heading.

Recently I was going through all the updates of Sabarimala and what I came across was indeed shocking.

With BJP's Mr. Amit Shah condemning the order given by Supreme Court of India, and remarking publicly that Supreme Court can’t give orders that can’t be followed’ (on #Sabarimala issue), I indeed wonder, will I find myself living in a country where the Law and Order will be decided upon the fancy of ministers and their notion on what can or cannot be followed.

Although there is not much that one can expect from our politicians, still - when you come down as a supremo facie presenting yourself as the potential leader of people, one can expect that you should have at least a check upon what you are conveying in a public forum. Indeed, it's ridiculous and difficult to understand that how come the Supreme Court with a panel of such experienced and expert legal professionals will decide something which cannot be followed.

And, even more ridiculous is this - Just because women of menstruating age are allowed entry into the Temple,  ( And a point to be noted here is that India is a country where according to law anybody can go to any public place by their own choice and nobody can stop them - a Temple is a sacred house of God, and for the general Public)
Mr. Adityanath Yogi (UP CM - BJP) wants the Supreme Court to be 'prompt enough in all its decisions' and order for the construction of a Ram Mandir in Ayodhya as it will foster harmony and unity among communities.

And what was even more shocking is that - an woman, an icon of what the cultured yet progressive Indian Bahus should be like for many years - Mrs. Smriti Irani and a BJP minister, could say such a thing -

"I am nobody to speak against the Supreme Court verdict as I am a serving cabinet minister. But just plain common sense is that would you carry a napkin seeped with menstrual blood and walk into a friend’s house? You would not. And would you think it is respectful to do the same when you walk into the house of god? That is the difference".

Well, Being an woman myself and knowing the fact that Mrs. Irani hails from acting background,
I would like to ask Mrs. Irani - that Ma'am, while you would go out for Shootings of Kyunki, did you actually inform your production house to cancel the shoots on the days you had your menstrual cycles.
Rude question, I acknowledge.
But, when you support something like this - you are bound to hear back. Because, we women haven't seen any women postponing going to their friends' house just because they have their menstrual cycles.
Believe it or not - this comment of yours resonates with an era-  only heard by us in stories from our grandparents that in some segments of the country women were not allowed to go out in those specific times and kept confined in special rooms.
Are you and the entire BJP for that matter expecting something similar from women of 21st century.

Also, I feel I am greatly privileged by the cosmos, that Mr. Amit Shah wasn't born before - at least when scholars like Ram Mohan Roy, Rabindranath Tagore and Ishwar Chandra VidyaSagar existed and fought for the sake of reforming the society on grounds like - widow remarriage, end of Sati Pratha, Women education, etc. I believe that Mr. Amit Shah would have actively fought against it and said - that people should stop fighting for what cannot be allowed because something hasn't been allowed by our fore-runners.

A party which brought in Make-In-India, Start-up INDIA, and many progressive changes, it is shocking that you could have members with such derogatory views upon a very important segment of the society - Women.

Phew! we women, would have been lurching in the darkness of illiteracy, forget about producing Anandibai Joshi, Kamala Sohonie, Janaki Ammal and their like who have paved an inspiration for modern day Indian Women. Also, it would have been a dream to have people like - Kalpana Chawla, Anu Aga, Madhu Kapoor, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw.
Well, probably, it's something pricking the eyes of BJP men - who by now I believe, equates Hindutva with staunch patriarchal dominance of men over women. I will not be surprised now, if a verdict is raised soon that all schools, libraries and public transport will be banned for women of menstruating age, as they should not be allowed to venture out in public with napkins seeped in blood.
And, The Supreme Court will have to grant permission to build several Ram Mandirs, as against granting women the permission to do things - which is their birth-right by 'constitution'.

Indeed, the Great Indian Women, should never be tired of seeking permissions, and, consent of self for doing things that are ones right by law - well these are dream concepts in the RAC Waiting list of the train to Modern India.
