Make YouTube your free-bee study buddy for IELTS, 2023 with these Channels
Hello my dear Chai-buddies and welcome back! We all watch YouTube don't we. So, why not use the time you spend in binging shorts or videos for something productive - like preparing for IELTS. While watching random shorts may not make you bucks, scoring a 8 and above in your IELTS will at least set you up for a great university abroad and great future, i.e. if you wish to build one ;P (pun intended). Of course you do don't you.
So, here in today's blog, we will talk about some YouTube channels that you can refer to assist in preparing for your IELTS. Let's start.

1. @TheIELTSListeningTest
Are you preparing alone and looking for an awesome resource to prepare for IELTS, particularly, listening. Then here's a gem on YouTube. This channel is primarily dedicated to listening activities based on the most updated format and question patterns of IELTS. And they post videos almost daily. So, you get to practice listening tests daily on their about 30 minutes long videos. Isn't that great! In no time you will find that you are familiar with a variety of questions and quite comfortable in handling any kind of dialogues.

You wanted to know what I did for IELTS - books and Liz: I meant following IELTS with Liz, hehe. Now, here's a caveat. Her channel has only 44 videos and they had been posted years ago. So, you may say - hasn't things changed over a period of 8 to 9 years? Why this channel? When I wrote my IELTS exam few years ago, it was indeed very helpful reference for me indeed. Although to be honest, I practiced a lot from books and referred other available YouTube channels too. But I definitely watched her videos - about all of them. You see, Liz is a trained coach for IELTS and her materials do contain valuable tips and guides for preparation. So, you can definitely use it to supplement your preparation for IELTS. Additionally, her website contains free practice materials as well. There's a reason why her channel still retains 2 million subs!
3. @EnglishSpeakingSuccess
Oh My Gawd! You got that British accent! - Oh you sound so American! Well, some people indeed love to sound exotic. Whether exotic or not, I hope that by now you know that speaking is an important component of IELTS exam? And here's a channel that can help you with your IELTS exam, particularly focusing upon your English speaking skills. And they post quite regularly, with content including lessons, practice resources, tips for answers and sample answers. So, this is indeed a great shot for your speaking aid.

Looking for another really great resource for your IELTS exam! Academic English Help or AEHELP is a channel which posts almost regularly and covers variety of interesting topics about the IELTS exam. And the channel host presents a rich content of mock exam videos where you can find really helpful tips on not just what to do but also what to avoid as well. The content in IELTS speaking mock tests contain markers about what leads to a great score of 9 while what deducts points. You may find topics from writing tips to interview tips. Introducing IELTS Daily, the quirky YouTube channel that's making IELTS test prep fun! Hosted by Chris, this channel offers a unique approach to IELTS prep. By taking this test and receiving feedback, you'll get a feel for the format and types of questions that might be asked. But that's not all! If you are thinking that good English is an asset reserved for native speakers, Asiya is an exception and can definitely be your motivation. Let's give some love to her YouTube channel - Fastrack IELTS, a fantastic YouTube channel that helps you prepare for the IELTS test. It is dedicated to those who have absolutely no clue where to start! Thankfully she started it in 2016, so even I referred her content for my preparation. And she is still very regular in putting up new content, keeping up with any changes to the IELTS exam format. With over a million subscribers the goal of her channel is to assist others in achieving their aspirations by providing information and advice for both the IELTS Academic and General tests. She explains everything in a clear and concise manner that is easy to grasp. Her voice is soothing and clear, which is great for people who are nervous about taking the exam. To make things easier, she has even sorted her videos into section-specific playlists, so you can focus on the sections that need the most attention. So, go ahead and give your prep a FasTrack boost!
