Homework and assignments - self-done or copy

A lot of arguments have taken place, ever since education began being imparted, over the issue of giving homework to students. And yet, no conclusion have been derived so far. With changing perceptions and methodologies of education, homework too began having different meanings - both for teachers and students.

Hello and welcome back. This is your friend Prabhasini, back again with an interesting topic- the nature of homework and assignments in present times.

With digital technology securing a strong foothold in everyone's lives, people across the globe have started appreciating the fact that it has made education a lot more interactive, and broad. But, on the flip side, with easy access to resources, alongwith the huge burden of homework, often imposed by schools on students, many resort to copy-pasting the material, in a bid to be able to submit their task on time. But, it doesn't yield any benefit really.

Hence, it's time to restructure this entire process of homework and assignments. We all have bargaining abilities. And, to bargain for our own benefit - will only be helpful for us in the long run. So, the next time, we feel over burdened with home-work, we can effectively have a bargain with the teachers to shift their assignment a few days later. Of-course, we should be polite in our demeanor. And we mustn't ever inculcate this as a habit of passing off excuses. But, indeed we can present the case of conducting our task with utmost sincerity and dedication. This is something, no teacher will fail to understand.

Next, instead of merely copying, we must try to do our own work ourselves. Indeed a help from the internet is desirable, for the resources sake. But, copying and imbibing nothing of the subject, will not help us at all. Subject knowledge is really important, before gaining practical training.

Furthermore, it is also seen - most of the homework is delayed to the last day, and then, often students complain of not being able to complete it. Well, these assignments actually prepare us for the innumerable job assignments which we would receive in future, which would require us, to complete them within a stipulated deadline. Hence, it is actually a great way, to learn the greatest art of success - time management.

So, now on lets do our homework, ourselves.
